This page explains what information the Deepam Trust website collects and how it is used.
Visiting the website
You can read this website without giving us any personal information. It has no visitor accounts and shows no advertising.
Our web hosting may keep standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.
Forms on this website
We receive personal details only when you fill in one of our forms:
- Annadhanam booking: your name, mobile number, email, city, address and PAN (if you give it), and the date, occasion and name for the Annadhanam. If you have booked before, you can ask for a one-time verification code so that your saved details are filled in for you.
- Transaction details: the UTR / transaction ID, amount, date and payer details of your payment, your contact details, address, PAN, the purpose of your donation, and a payment screenshot if you attach one.
- Volunteer registration: your name, mobile number, email, age range, area, occupation, the languages you speak, how and when you would like to help, and your message.
Only the trust's administrators can see what you send through these forms, and payment screenshots are stored privately. We use these details to confirm your booking, verify your payment, send your receipt, answer your questions and contact you about volunteering.
Donations
When you donate by bank transfer, UPI, cheque or in person, we receive the details your bank or payment app shows us, and any details you send us through our transaction details form or WhatsApp, such as your name, contact details, address, PAN and the amount. We use them to acknowledge your donation and send your receipt. At the end of each financial year donor details are submitted to the Income Tax Department through Form 10BD, as the law requires.
Services from other companies
Videos are hosted on YouTube and load only when you press play. The homepage shows our Facebook page's posts in a frame provided by Facebook, and the maps on our Contact page are provided by Google Maps. UPI payments are made in your own UPI app. These services have their own privacy policies.
