The Trust that lights the lamp of education!
Every year, educational assistance is given to more than a hundred students, selected from those who scored good marks but cannot continue their higher education because of poverty, those who have lost their mother or father, and rural and poor students. Our education service, started in 2010, has over the past 16 years given more than ₹80 lakh to 1,352 students. Although it is primarily meant for those who have completed Class 12, help is also given to school students who are in extreme poverty.

Application process
- Those who need financial assistance for education should submit their details by post or in person and state the help they need.
- The scholarship application must clearly state the course of study, the educational institution, address, academic record and the amount of financial assistance required.
- Eligible applications are analysed by the Education Assistance Committee.
- Students shortlisted by the Education Assistance Committee are called for an interview. Travel expenses are reimbursed for those coming from far away.
- Tuition fees are provided to the students selected in the interview. Because we are very firm that this educational assistance, run with a lofty purpose, must be used only for that purpose, the money is not given directly to the students; instead, the amount for whatever need it is requested (training fees, examination fees and so on) is given as a cheque in the name of the educational institution where they study.
Other educational help
Books and Uniforms to School students
Books, notebooks and the school uniforms needed for the year are provided to children who cannot go to school because of poverty and to destitute children in children's homes.
Tuition Fees
Deepam Trust works with the aim of supporting the education of at least one hundred poor children every year. In continuation of this, over the past 14 years, cheques for ₹74 lakh have been given as tuition fees, in the name of the colleges where they study, to 1055 students pursuing vocational courses, arts & science, engineering, medicine and many other higher studies. The year-wise number of scholarship recipients since 2010 is given. Deepam lovingly invites those who wish to make an education donation (Kalvi Dhanam) to take part in this noble service held every year.
Free Spoken English course to poor students
Free English classes are conducted for students in orphanages and for poor students who are keen to learn English.
