29th Anniversary Celebration

The Gnana Sariyai, held equal to the Agaval (Vallalar's Arutperunjothi Agaval), consists of 28 verses. Likewise, Deepam Trust of Velachery, Chennai has completed 28 years of its Gnana Velvi (sacred offering of wisdom) and is now vibrantly beginning its 29th year. As the Sanmarga family rejoices at this, we humbly bow at the feet of everyone who stood by us in support.

We lovingly invite Deepam Trust's donors, Deepam's office-bearers, Deepam volunteers and our Sanmarga kin to attend the anniversary celebration in person with their families and grace the occasion.

With gratitude

Having completed 28 years of community service and now stepping into its 29th year, Deepam Trust bows at the holy feet of:

• the past and present office-bearers who toiled … and continue to toil … for Deepam's growth;
• the past and present sevadigal (our volunteers, revered as holy feet ever in motion) who have worked, and continue to work, tirelessly day and night in the belief that service to people is service to God;
• the human gods who, believing that dharma is God and God is dharma, have given … and continue to give … donations for 28 years to Deepam Trust's daily Annadhanam (free food service) and charitable works;
• the noble elders who encouraged and guided Deepam Trust's community service (especially the late revered R K Damodaran of Anakaputhur, dearer to me than my own life, who nurtured the founder of Deepam Trust on the nourishment of Sanmarga; the late revered Erode Kathirvelu Aiya; Respected K N Umapathi of K K Nagar; Respected Saram Adigal; and Respected Nagai Saivamani Aiya);
• our Sanmarga kin;
• the well-wishers of Deepam;
• and the all-powerful God who dwells as the Vallal (benevolent giver) in good hearts and guides them.

At their golden holy feet we joyfully offer all the honours, greetings, appreciation, renown and awards that Deepam Trust has received to this day.

Invitation

We are delivering the invitation in person and by post as far as possible. However, we humbly and lovingly invite, with folded hands, those who have not received an invitation to treat this message itself as the invitation and, in a spirit of brotherhood, to attend and grace the anniversary celebration as our own celebration, the celebration of our father Thiruvarutprakasa Vallalar, and the celebration of a fellow organisation.
